Lightweight Rebuild
Lightweight re-build undertaken by Jeff Case, East Granby,
Connecticut USA.
He has been working on his Series III Lightweight for a little over a year. Here
are some of the project photos.

of the front axle assembly |

|
First little shipment of parts. New galvanized chassis, new
springs & shocks, new stainless exhaust, rebuilt transmission, rebuilt
engine assembly, all new brake lines & hydraulics, new Michelin XZL
tires, new wheels, new radiator, etc. |

Test fit the bulkhead on the new chassis Temporarily mount the
brake & clutch pedal boxes, bend the new brake & clutch lines to fit,
then take it all apart for final sandblast & paint |

Bulkhead repaired and re-sprayed |
|
|
|
|
New
distributor installed along with the oil filter assembly and manifolds,
rebuilt the original AC fuel pump, had the flywheel resurfaced,
installed a new clutch, and the engine is finally in |
Thoroughly cleaned under side of the rear tub, coated with
several layers of 3M rubberized undercoating |
